Location
The Lancaster hotel is located in a residential area opposite the zoo (Artis) and is only a short tram ride away from Central station, 4 stops from the Rembrandtsplein by tram, and is surrounded by trendy bars and restaurants. It is also within easy access to all the main attractions of the city.
Rooms
All the bedrooms were renovated completely in 2004 and now offer vastly improved accommodation with a relaxing beige and terracotta color scheme, a desk in all bedrooms with an attractive leather chair and references throughout the bedrooms and hotel to the city of Amsterdam and its history. The bedrooms are in very good condition, as are the bathrooms, which have not been renovated but which are simply decorated with white tiling and are kept sparkling clean.
Restaurant
Due to the central location of this hotel, it serves breakfast only and the breakfast room may be found on the lower ground floor. It too, was renovated in 2004 and now benefits from a lovely wooden floor, purple lighting, red chairs and many Dutch artifacts, giving it a bright and cheerful atmosphere.
General
This hotel has undergone major renovations and is a vastly improved product suitable for all types of travelers.
